While he is home recuperating from his car accident two weeks ago, State Representative Tom Bennett (R-Gibson City) is staying in touch with what is happening in Springfield. In a  statement to constituents, Bennett reported that the Illinois House passed 43 bills this week, including legislation to create special license plates for Cold War veterans. Other measures dealt with protecting the privacy of prescription information and clarifying requirements regarding Open Meetings Act training. Bennett will continue to give updates from home until he is able to return to the state capitol.
