The Pontiac chapter of Future Farmers of America is looking to honor graduates of Pontiac Township High School who are currently serving in the military. The Pontiac FFA is trying to collect information on these military graduates as well as from feeder communities Odell, Saunemin and Graymont. The goal is to use provided information to create banners to honor those serving that will be displayed in the commons area of PTHS for Veterans Day and in businesses throughout the community for the remainder of the year. In order to inform the community about the project as well as gather financial support, project chairperson Leslie Babbs has been posting about the project on social media and on the high school’s website. The information sought includes graduate’s name, year of graduation, branch of military service, and year they entered.
