Could the return of a major retailer be on the horizon?

A cryptic message on its website suggests that Bergner’s and other Bon-Ton Stores are on their way back.

The department store closed at the end of August but a visit to the Bergner’s website shows a message stating- “We’ve got great news, Bergner’s is coming back”

The site asks visitors to stay tuned for updates in the coming weeks and says the store is looking forward to being able to serve customers again soon.

A statement from the group handling the liquidation of the department stores says the company’s intellectual property is in the process of being sold and the new buyer will be announced once the deal is finalized.
