In an effort to raise breast cancer awareness the Chenoa Police Department is looking to go pink for the month of October.
Pink badges for every officer is the goal but the department needs the public’s help.
There’s a one time cost for the pink badges.
The price tag is about $600 for the 12 officers but they would be used year after year going forward.
The department doesn’t want to stop there – they’d like to raise $2500 and donate it to the Community Cancer Center in Normal in the name of Breast Cancer Awareness and Research.
*100% of the money donated after the purchase of the badges will be donated to the Community Cancer Center Normal, IL.
