The Pontiac Rec Center is holding the “Winter Beach Bonanza” Saturday, Feb 17, from 6 to 10:30.
Director Taylor Baxter said this is the first time they’re holding this evening event for students.
“It’s really just a chance for the junior high students to come out to the Rec Center. It’s not technically a lock-in, because they’re not staying the night, but it’s going to be available to the students after hours when we’re closed, so they’re going to be the only ones in the Rec Center. There’s going to be food, games and it’s really just a good time to get out. We’re going to have the pool open and there’s going to be all sorts of sports inside that we’re going to be playing. We’re really excited about this one,” Baxter said.
