Bloomington Police say Kyle Brestan, 32, faces seven counts related to manufacture and possession of child pornography.

Brestan has been in the McLean County Jail since May 25th on murder charges connected to the stabbing death of 27 year old Shannon Hastings of Peoria. Hastings’ body was found several days earlier in a Bloomington hotel room. An autopsy revealed she had been stabbed more than 100 times.

Brestan is in custody in lieu of a $5 million bond.
