The Fairbury Police responded to a domestic issue Sunday that led to one injury.
According to Chief Mark Travis, officers responded to a possible stabbing at a home in the 300 block of South 8th Street around 5:30 p.m. Officers found a girlfriend and boyfriend had been arguing most of the weekend. The boyfriend had left for a time, only to come back Sunday and they continued arguing. At that time, the girlfriend allegedly stabbed him in the bicep. He was taken to OSF Saint James – John W. Albrecht Medical Center, where he was treated and released after receiving stitches. She was arrested for aggravated domestic battery, resisting or obstructing a peace officer and violating probation.
