The Livingston County Health Department is taking appointments for school physicals that begin in June.
Health Education and Marketing Director Linda Rhodes explains that all appointments, whether there at the health department or even your family’s doctor’s offices, go fast, so now is the time to make your appointment.
“School physicals are required, at some schools, before you are even allowed to register your child for school and other schools, you need to have those physicals done before the first day of school. Every year, we have the same situation, where people kind of forget because we get busy over the summer, so let’s start now. We have scheduled our first school and sports physicals to start on June 7. We will also be doing them Wednesdays, June 14 and June 28, so if you will call now, get those scheduled and get them out of the way, it saves everyone a lot of frustration when, come August, there are no appointment times left,” Rhodes said.
