The Livingston County Historical Society will be meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at Pontiac City Hall, featuring guest speaker Dale Maley.

Society President Bob Sear said Maley will be speaking about genealogy and how to go about researching.

“Dale Maley is from Fairbury and he’s on the board of the historical society and I always thought it’d be good to have a meeting about genealogy, because a lot of people are interest but don’t know what to do or how to get started. He’s calling it ‘Genealogy 101,’so people can come and learn how to research your family members and family history and resources. He’s done a lot of it and is very experienced in it. It should be an excellent for people who are interested in doing some family research,” Sear said.

This meeting is open to the public.
