Applications are available through the Livingston County Soil and Water Conservation District for the annual George McKibben Memorial Scholarship.

Ag Literacy Coordinator Debbie Ruff has more.

“This is meant for college junior or seniors who are studying for an ag degree. So it has to be at one of Illinois’ state universities, that has an agriculture program, like ISU or U of I. It’s not high school. Sometimes we have that problem if people don’t know this, but they have to wait a few years and and it’s for $500 and it can go toward tuition, books, whatever they need it for,” Ruff said.
