Several Veterans Day programs have been scheduled today.
Pontiac Township High School is holding its program at 8 a.m., followed by one at Pontiac Junior High at 9:30.
Pontiac’s annual Veterans Day parade and service steps off from Central School at 10:45 this morning.
The parade will make its way to the west side of the Historic Livingston County Courthouse for a service to include music numbers, recognition of Honorary Mothers and a 21 Gun Salute. Speaker of the day is Eric Bohm, Pontiac Township High School principal and Coast Guard veteran.
Following the parade and service on the west side of the Historic Livingston County Courthouse, another special program will be held on the east side of the courthouse. Evenglow Lodge will hold its program at 3 p.m.
