A group of people from throughout Livingston County with the goal of the betterment and unity of the local communities met Tuesday night and ended the evening with a new name.

The Community Connection Group met at Krossroads Restaurant in Cullom to hear from guest speaker Greg Meyer with the Illinois Prairie Community Foundation about possible grants for Livingston County and ideas on how non-profit status can help raise money for the communities. Also discussed in the group were topics such as businesses and employment, community engagement, beautification and clean up, as well as new attractions in the area.
