The Pontiac 66ers will be finishing their home game schedule this weekend, with two special evenings planned for fans.
On Saturday, active and retired military, police, fire, correctional officers, EMTs and first responders will all be recognized. Any person who provides proof of service or comes in uniform will be admitted for free.
Buzz Zeller, Chief Operations Officer for the Midwest Professional Basketball Association, said this is a way for the team and organization to give back.
“This is just a really important weekend for, not just our fans, but for the Pontiac 66ers team and organization to do a little extra for those folks who are standing in the line of duty that are just everyday making our world safer for us,” Zeller said.
Sunday will be fan appreciation day, where special adult “Pack the Place” ticket prices will be sold for $5. There will also be special raffles and promotions happening throughout the game.
