“Fresh Fare: Eating Well as You Age” is coming to Evenglow Inn March 9 from 6 to 7 p.m.
This event, which is a partnership between Evenglow Inn and the University of Illinois Extension, will be discussing which foods are important for people as they age. Jenna Smith, Extension unit educator, said it will be a fun evening of food demonstrations with an important message.
“We need to know a little bit more about what are these proteins, what are the vitamins and minerals and what kind of things do we need to make sure we’re eating enough of so we can fulfill our body’s requirements as we get older,” Smith said.
There is a $5 recommended donation to attend the event. To register, call Evenglow Inn at 842-9040.
