The Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board gave unanimous approval for a freestanding emergency center Tuesday for OSF Center for Health – Streator.
Currently, the center has an urgent care facility, which will transition to a freestanding emergency center following licensure by the Illinois Department of Public Health, which OSF believes will occur soon. Currently, the facility is able to accept patients via ambulance, which came after the Illinois Department of Public Health granted it a special waiver.
Plans for the proposed site are to be announced soon.
