The City of Pontiac has been getting extra exposure lately, most recently taking the cover of the National Geographic 2016 calendar

Pontiac Tourism Director Ellie Alexander said officials from National Geographic were photographing cars inside the Pontiac-Oakland Automobile Museum one day and decided to venture around downtown, which is how they came across the calendar’s cover photo.

“They mayor came over and picked out a car and drove around town and took some images at the museum and all of a sudden, here we were. So, it’s (the images are on) December and the cover, so we’re really excited about that,” said Alexander.
