“Home for the Holidays” opens tonight at the Eagle Performing Arts and Conference Center, but the cast had a full audience for a special preview night last night.
Singing, dancing and scenes revolving around a group of friends preparing for the holiday season comes alive on the newly renovated stage and Anthony Gullo, a veteran of the Vermillion Players, is enjoying working at the new venue.
“I was completely shocked about how awesome everything looked. The equipment for the lights, curtains, and even the decorative face on the theater itself – it’s just beautiful. I think people are really going to be proud to have this facility in town,” Gullo said.
Kalli Setterlund, who has also been involved with the troupe for several years, added that audiences will like the group numbers most.
“Everyone here is so vocally talented. They’re all past veterans or have done something with theatre. Every time we all sing together and the harmonies, it’s going to capture everyone. It’s just going to draw everyone in. It’s going to be an awesome show,” Setterlund said.
The show runs tonight through Sunday and Dec. 18 through 20th. Pictures and videos of last night’s performance will be available on our Facebook page, facebook.com/989WJEZ.
