The Forrest and Chatsworth public libraries received a sizeable donation from the Forrest-Chatsworth Wind Study Group yesterday morning.

The group, made up of about 40 local landowners, made the donation of more than $1,500 to both libraries. That money came from the joint fund that was raised for research, meeting space and other expenses. Invenergy, LLC, the developer of the proposed project, also contributed $1,000 to the libraries, bringing the total for each library to $1,782.75.

The donation ceremony took place at the Forrest Public Library Tuesday morning.
