The incident that resulted in two deaths in rural Cornell over the weekend is now being investigated as a murder/suicide.

Livingston County Coroner Mike Burke said it appears Wesley E. Thorson shot his wife, Dawn A. Thorson. The couple was found dead in a rural Cornell home Saturday around 5 p.m.

The deaths remain under investigation by the coroner’s office and the Livingston County Sheriff’s Police.
