The Livingston County Sheriff’s Police and Livingston County Coroner are releasing more information about the weekend incident in rural Cornell that included two fatalities.

According to Coroner Mike Burke, 56-year-old Dawn Thorson and 62-year-old Wesley Thorson were found deceased at a residence in rural Cornell Saturday evening.

In a press release from Sheriff Tony Childress, he said the two were taken to the McLean County Medical Examiner’s Office by SELCAS ambulance for further investigation and due to the pending investigation, neither office has any further information on this incident, including cause or manner of death.

It was indicated that they believe this is an isolated incident and they don’t anticipate seeking any suspect or person of interest in the case.
