The Pontiac Fire Department is having a Fire Prevention Week Fundraiser next Monday.

The event will include an Avanti’s five-inch gondola, chips, a drink and a dessert snack.

Pontiac Fire Engineer Ryan Hanson said the event is benefitting a lot of the programs the fire department assists with.

“The money that comes from that goes to our JFL programs we sponsor, Pontiac Junior Baseball and Pontiac Holiday Tournament. We also do a thing at Christmastime with five families we buy gifts for. There’s a Tim Murphy Scholarship (with the LACC) and we also donate to that,” Hanson said.
