A new Director of the Livingston County Probation office has officially been named.

After an ad hoc committee was created to find the perfect candidate, Ronald Baker was chosen for the position. Baker has served as a probation officer since 1989 and became a department supervisor in 2006. He replaces longtime director Michael Shaughnessy, as he retired after 43 years of service.

Baker is a member of the Illinois Probation and Court Services Association and the Pontiac Kiwanis Club.
