WJEZ is bringing our listeners local sports in a whole new way this year.

The Cube, which is an online streaming platform for all Pontiac Township High School Sports is partnering with WJEZ to bring the games this year, starting with football this Friday at Metamora.

Blake Whittle, a senior at PTHS and one of the engineers for the Cube, sat down with WJEZ’s Mark Myre and Todd Wineburner recently to talk all things Cube.

“They can watch in real time, live or go back and watch it on demand. With the Cube, it’s all free to stream, but of course, we have to buy all our equipment and this year, we’re getting a new laptop to provide some more features to the community and all the members that watch it,” Whittle said.

The Cube provides both audio and video of the games and people can still tune in to 98.9 WJEZ for live coverage.
