Illinois American Water, serving the Pontiac area, has named Matt Glavin as the director of government affairs for its company.

Glavin brings more than 15 years of experience in the political and legislative process, most recently serving as deputy director for the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity.

His new job began July 20 and he will represent Illinois American Water at all levels of state government.
