A special conference looking to educate people on crimes against children is coming to Bloomington-Normal in September.

Judy Brucker, CEO of the Children’s Advocacy Center, said “Improving the Odds for Children,” a day-long conference, will give information about many subjects, including helping offenders not re-offend as well as helping sexually abused children.

“One of the growing issues we find in our communities is issues with child pornography and child victimization, as well,” Brucker said. “We have the opportunity to reach out to two national speakers we will be bringing in September 25, and we hope the community will join in.”
