The Pontiac Area Chamber of Commerce will be celebrating 100 years in the community in 2017 and are looking for people to help plan events for the milestone.

Richard Burbridge, president and CEO of the chamber, is extending an invitation to people interested in putting their heads together and creating a celebration for the special event.

“We’re trying to create a committee of both Chamber members and people from the community that are interested in helping plan and work through the event,” Brubridge. “I already have Mr. Tom Ewing, former US Congressman and Illinois State Representative. He’s on board with us and really excited about it. We’re looking to add some more names to the list.”
