Schedules Changes at PTHS for Tuesday, 12/16–UPDATED

by Todd Wineburner

Livingston County is still reeling from recent tragic losses, and the PTHS administration has responded with schedule changes to relieve some of the burdens.

TUESDAY, 12/16

No extra-curricular events will be held at PTHS. That includes:

Pontiac Boys' Basketball vs. Prairie Central–Game postponed until January 20th

Freshman Boys' Basketball–Game is cancelled.

Wrestling–postponed until further notice.

School officials are hoping the schedule changes will give students and community members an opportunity to pay their last respects to Kimberly Blair, whose visitation is tonight from 3 to 7 at Pontiac First United Methodist Church, and Ryan Bray, whose visitation is set for tonight from 2 to 8 at the First Baptist Church of Fairbury. Funeral services for both young people are set for tomorrow (12/17), with services for Ryan Bray scheduled for 10:30 at the Fairbury First Baptist Church, and for Kimberly Blair at 1:00 at Pontiac’s First United Methodist Church.

District 90 Superintendent Jon Kilgore contacted parents and guardians yesterday to let them know that school transportation is available to take students to the funeral services. Comfort dogs and counselors have been on duty at PTHS to help students cope with the losses.
