Change your Thanksgiving Day plans, baby and go shopping! You want to squeeze a meal in? You may need to do it the day before Thanksgiving, because Black Friday starts on Thursday! Forget about family, food and football; you need to focus on what the holiday is all about, grabbing a deal! Target is the latest retailer to throw their hat into the Thanksgiving Day ring opening stores at 9pm. Wal-Mart and Sears have announced Black Friday deals starting Thursday at 8pm. Last year there were a number of retailers that started deals at 9, 10 and some as late as midnight which caused Thanksgiving evening sales to be better than Black Friday morning actually was! I have to admit, my daughters and I ventured out Thanksgiving night last year, not so much to cash in on great deals, but to see who was out shopping. We were just nosey, quite honestly! I have to admit that was it was. You felt like you were a rebel, cos you shouldn’t be shopping until the next day, which, by the way, I did not. Nope, no Black Friday shopping for me last year, although I am not a huge fan of it, I do go out if there are good deals to be had.
