The big news of the day is the weather, of course. This system that is hitting us today dumped a foot of snow in Texas and Kansas and is poised to make our travel conditions a little icy and dicey, literally. Expect to see a mix of rain and sleet and snow on and off all day long. The crazy part of this is our temperatures hanging above freezing which is where the term “wintry mix” comes into play. Today’s weather is why the term was invented! We are expected to actually see snow accumulate, maybe even as much as 4 or 5 inches! This system is a slow mover, hanging around through tomorrow night dumping all kinds of precipitation and gusting up winds as high as 40mph! So, bottom line is be careful!!!!!!!
