The 3^rd annual turkey trot for the Boys and Girls club is this weekend, and organizers expect about 100 people to tie on their running shoes for a good cause. Executive Director Gary Beckman says the money is needed for after-school programs that are in high demand, with about 150 students on average participating. 

There are 3 different events taking place, with a quarter-mile “mad dash” for young children, a 5K run, and a 3K walk. Participants will also get to take part in other activities. Registration is 25 dollars and will be available until the activities begin at 9 o’clock Saturday morning at the Boys and Girls club on Indiana avenue in Pontiac.
