Last night was the first of three presidential debates between Mitt Romney and President Obama. Some give the “win” to Mitt and some to the President, but putting aside who said what and how there is a more important indicator of who might win this election.

Family Circle magazine has held a cookie contest between the two candidates running for president since 1992. This contest pits the wife’s cookie recipes up against each other. This is a battle of huge proportions with ramifications that can’t be felt around the nation, heck maybe even around the world! In the last four out of five elections, this contest has picked the winner of the Presidency! And this year may up that record to five of six. First Lady Michelle Obama’s White and Dark Chocolate cookies beat Ann Romney’s M&M cookies by 287 votes! Could this be the deciding factor in who wins? Will those that are undecided base their vote off of these cookies? I’d have to try them both to make up my mind. I think a couple dozen of each will do.
