The Pontiac Indians won the Cornbelt Conference in golf over the weekend at Gibson City. Pontiac has not won the Cornbelt since 1994. Pontiac shot a 307 finishing four strokes ahead of the U High Pioneers. Eric Raube led the way for the Indians with a 75. Trent Smith and Aaron Jiles shot 77 and John Leverton with a 78. On a side note Lincoln Slagel from Prairie Central shot a 1 under 71 for meet medalist. The Pontiac girls placed fifth over the weekend. The girls will head to the El Paso Regional and the boys will go to the Orange course in Savoy Illinois.
