Thirty-five years after his disappearance, Jimmy Hoffa may be found! Hoffa had been the head of the Teamsters when he went missing and after years of leads and speculation, authorities feel they maybe onto something! Soil samples have been taken from beneath a shed in Roseville, Michigan. The tests will determine if there is evidence of human remains in the soil, but will not tell who those remains belong to.
In 2006 the FBI had a Michigan barn razed looking for Hoffa’s remains and some speculate that he is actually buried around the end zone at the former Giants Stadium in New Jersey. The FBI has believed that Hoffa went missing, because of his efforts to take over the Teamsters again along with the mob’s influence over pensions. Hoffa had served time in prison in 1967 for jury tampering and fraud, but then President Richard Nixon pardoned him in 1971 on the condition that he not attempt to get back into the union until 1980. In 1975, Hoffa arrived at a restaurant for a meeting and was never seen again.
