A fire caused extensive damage to a detached garage at 621 E. Water in Pontiac on Wednesday about midday. Pontiac firefighters were on the scene for about an hour getting the blaze under control. Pontiac was assisted by departments from Saunemin, Flanagan and Chenoa and no injuries or additional property damage was reported. Specific damage estimates aren't yet available.
