Different Strokes patriarch Conrad Bain has died. Bain played “dad” Phillip Drummond to two African-American boys he adopted and the show shot to syndication stardom! The 80’s sitcom gave us Gary Coleman, Todd Bridges and Dano Plato, all of who have passed except for Bridges who has led a very rough life since the show. Bain was 89.

Season 12 of American Idol premiered last night with the majority of attention being placed on the new judges and not the talent. Keith Urban, who by the way is Australia, Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj join Randy Jackson and Ryan Seacrest for a brand new season.
