Carnival has another ship stranded
10:03AM Monday
February 11, 2013

Another cruise ship is dead in the water! Carnival takes yet another hit as Triumph was anything but, over the weekend. The ship will be towed after a fire rendered it useless in the Gulf of Mexico. The fire was contained and extinguished with no injuries, but the shsip was left without the ability to move except for the tides that caused it to drift 140 miles off of the Mexican coast.

So what about the important things like fresh water and sewage? Well, fresh water was restored, but only parts of the ship had sewage function restored and the ship isn’t expected to hit port until Wednesday! The ship’s spokesperson said that generators are keeping the power on and there is plenty of food aboard to feed all 3,143 passengers and 1,086 crew members and sister ship Elation is en route to bring even more food and water.

Once the ship hits port, the cruise line said all passengers will be flown back to the US at no cost and will receive a full refund credit for another cruise! Just give me my money back, cos I am in no mood to board one of your ships again! There are just so many things like this happening lately. Maybe, just maybe, Carnival has gotten too big for their britches? We took a Carnival cruise in 2010 and I can honestly say I wouldn’t do it again. We were treated well once on board, but prior to boarding not so much. Now factor in all these events that have been occurring? No thanks!
