Us, Cardinals fans are in mourning today as we watched them take a series lead and lose it miserably, ending our pain last night! The San Francisco Giants overcame a lot of adversity this season to come from behind and beat my St. Louis Cardinals and move onto the World Series taking on the Detroit Tigers. The series begins tomorrow. But, hey! I am very proud of the Cardinals! Nay-sayers said they would be nothing without Albert Pujols and they proved them all wrong!
Making me feel better last night was the Chicago Bears who took care of business at Soldier Field against the Detroit Lions. But Jay Cutler may have paid quite a price last night after taking a very hard, but legal hit from Ndamukong Suh. Cutler left the game for only one play, and then came back before heading to the locker room for x-rays. It looked bad, really bad, but he came back after the half with bruised ribs, but still in the game. I bet he is quite sore today. You know, Suh takes a lot of flak for being a dirty player on the field and getting into trouble off the field, but it was a legal hit and he was one of the first people coming to Cutler’s side after the QB didn’t get up. That’s first class in my book!
