The bail hearing of Oscar Pistorious in South Africa was held up again today and will resume tomorrow. This whole situation gets more and more bizarre in my opinion. There was a recess today because of some kind of threat, but it was unclear exactly what that was. An unbelievable fact emerged today that the lead investigator has, himself, faces seven counts of attempted murder! Wait! Did I just hear that right? The lead investigator faces seven charges of attempted murder for opening fire on a bus of innocent people, while drunk! This is the guy that defense attorneys are saying compromised evidence on the scene by not wearing protective booties on his shoes. The prosecution admits that at this time, their findings don’t dispute Pistorious’ claim that he shot his girlfriend by mistake fearing she was an intruder! The prosecution is also trying to get the judge to deny bail based on the fact that an Olympic icon with a recognizable disability is a flight risk! Wow.
