Lexington police officers to be disciplined
Lexington police officers to be disciplined
The Lexington Police Chief still has a job, despite an incident last week that prompted his suspension from the force.
Chief Spencer Johansen was suspended with pay after he reportedly shot at a fox, but hit a house instead. The house had some children inside, but no one was injured. Lexington Mayor John Mohr calls last week’s incident poor judgment that did not merit the kind of force used.
A part-time officer was also suspended after the incident and will also be allowed to return to the force. Last year, Johansen publicly announced that he was in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease.
