Rutherford hopes for large turnout at prison hearing
Rutherford hopes for large turnout at prison hearing
City, county and state officials are hoping for a large turnout at the upcoming hearing on the possible closure of the Pontiac Correctional Center. The Commission on Government Forecasting and Accountability, or COGFA, will hold the hearing next month at Pontiac Township High School. State Senator Dan Rutherford encourages Livingston County residents to share their comments and concerns about the governor’s proposal.
Rutherford says lawmakers from throughout the state will be at the hearing and he’s hoping to fill the Pontiac High School Auditorium with people, to show the impact such a closure would have on the area.
