Man enters plea in shooting case

A Chicago man has admitted to firing gunshots toward a group of people outside the Pontiac County Market store earlier this month. 20-year-old Ronald Porter Junior entered the plea in Livingston County Court this week. Porter is charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm, unlawful possession of stolen firearm, possessing a firearm without a valid FOID card and obstructing justice. Authorities say Porter went to the store with a 13-year-old boy and he asked to boy to give him a handgun, before firing the shots. The boy faces similar charges. Porter will be sentenced in September.
