Prescription drop box now at Public Safety Complex
Prescription drop box now at Public Safety Complex
If you visit the lobby of the Pontiac Public Safety Complex, you’ll notice a colorful drop box for prescription drugs. The effort from Pontiac high school students to collected unused and unwanted drugs has expanded to include the Pontiac Police Department. The public can stop by and dispose of their unused drugs. Pontiac Police Major Hugh Roop says the program is a great idea.
The drop box was designed by students in Andrea Aguirre’s art class. Efforts continue to collect used drugs in Pontiac, as the local pharmacies are on board with the Pharmaceutical Reclamation Program.
