Woman hospitalized after crash with bus
Woman hospitalized after crash with bus

A Dwight woman was in stable condition this morning after her car was struck by a school bus Thursday afternoon. State Police say 38-year-old Charles Tucker of Streator was driving a school bus west on County Road 2160 North, while 70-year-old Sheila Fanning was driving a Cadillac north on Old Route 66, near Cayuga. Police say Tucker stopped at a stop sign then drove into the intersection, causing his bus to strike Fanning’s car. Tucker was treated and released from St. James Medical Center in Pontiac, while Fanning remains hospitalized. Authorities say 13 students were on the school bus at the time of the wreck, but no one was injured. Tucker was cited for failing to yield at a stop intersection.
