Pontiac Fire Lt. has fond memories of time on department
Pontiac Fire Lt. has fond memories of time on department
“A lot of good memories with a lot of good people.” That pretty much sums up the career of Pontiac Fire Lieutenant Darrel Shoop, who is retiring this week. Shoop was recognized during a reception Wednesday at the Pontiac Public Safety Complex, for his 36 years as a full-time firefighter. Shoop says he’s enjoyed his time on the department.  Shoop says certain things will always stick out in his mind from his time serving on the Pontiac Fire Department. In a letter to the city council, Shoop says he looks forward to spending more time with family and he hopes to become more involved with his own independent business.
