Some have still not applied for economic stimulus payment
Some have still not applied for economic stimulus payment
The IRS says over 200,000 Illinoisans have not applied for their federal economic stimulus payment. That figure includes people here in Livingston County, according to IRS spokeswoman Sue Hales. For those people with no tax filing requirement or tax liability, their stimulus payment will be at least 300 dollars, plus another 300 for each dependent child and 600 for a married couple. In Illinois, 70 percent of those who haven’t claimed a stimulus payment are over the age of 65. The application deadline is October 15. For more information, log on to IRS.gov or call the IRS’s toll-free hot line: 1-800-829-1040.
