Lincoln attractions planned for Pontiac
Lincoln attractions planned for Pontiac
In the next year, Pontiac will be full of Abraham Lincoln exhibits. The nine “wayside” attractions will be featured all over town in 2009, which is Lincoln’s 200 birthday year. Local historian Barb Sancken says each exhibit will explain quite a bit about the famous president’s ties to the area. The Pontiac Lincoln statue next to the courthouse will be featured in a book, which will include numerous Lincoln attractions. Sancken says plans are also in the works for a new photo exhibit at the Lincoln Library in Springfield,
