State Police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred over the weekend, just south of Strawn. Livingston County Coroner Mike Burke says area residents discovered the single-vehicle crash Sunday. Officials believe the vehicle was northbound on Route 47, when it left the road and traveled into a wooded area. The driver was thrown into a nearby bean field and was pronounced dead at the scene. Burke says neither the victim nor the vehicle were visible from the road. An autopsy has been ordered and the person’s name is not being released until family members are notified.
