Route 66 announces Hall of Fame inductees
The world’s largest ketchup bottle, a pair of restaurant owners and a former highway engineer are this year’s Route 66 Hall of Fame inductees. Jim Jones with the Route 66 Museum in Pontiac, says Leroy and Pauline Curtiss are remembered for their service stations and drive-ins in the Pontiac area. Other 2008 hall of fame inductees include Frank Sheets, a former highway engineer and the world’s largest ketchup bottle in Collinsville, which was named to the National Register of Historic Places.
