Parents reminded of school physical requirements
Parents reminded of school physical requirements
Now that students are on summer break, it’s time to start thinking about the back-to-school to-do list. One of those things includes school physicals for some kids. Kathy Richmond, with the Livingston County Health Department, says there are some new requirements this year. Any child entering pre-K, kindergarten, sixth grade or the ninth grade will need a physical. Previous requirements included children entering the fifth grade. Richmond says the state’s department of public health is seeking an emergency rule that an exam would not be required for those who just had one in the fifth grade that are entering the sixth grade.
