Livingston Landfill owner announces merger
Livingston Landfill owner announces merger

Allied Waste, which operates the large Livingston Landfill north of Pontiac and the McLean County Landfill near Bloomington, will be merging with another company. The $6.1 billion merger deal with Florida-based Republic Services isn’t expected to change operations at the landfills according to company officials. The Livingston Landfill is currently the largest in the state and takes in waste each day from the Chicago area.
